IDA Quebec is wishing you Happy Holidays and a great New Year 2015!
We thank you for your support and we invite you to get involved even more in 2015 – the International Year of Light!
In 2015 the progresses made by the Eastern Townships in the promotion of the dark-sky will be recognized by two international size events: LPTMM – Light Pollution: Theory, Modelling, and Measurements to be held between the 26th and 28th of May at the Centre de Villégiature Jouvence followed from 29th to 31st of May by the 3rd international conference on artificial light and night (ALAN 2015) in Sherbrooke – more details to come in January.
We are all aware that light is necessary and we can demonstrate that its intelligent use is beneficial to all. Users will have sufficient light at the place and time required for work and/or leisure, without wasting money or other resources. They can also enjoy the night splendor above their heads.
This is the message of hope for 2015 that IDA Quebec is sending: celebrate the light and, at the same time, life – ours and that of future generations.
