The International Dark-Sky Reserve of Mont-Megantic (IDSRMM) is celebrating its five years of existence by organising a symposium. Despite what you might think, the talk will not be about the stars of the fight against light pollution but about a new potential danger to the Reserve.

After contacting municipalities around the Mont-Mégantic in October 2011 and having devised with them a new strategy to stop the deterioration of the Reserve’s starry sky, the IDSRMM identifies a new danger: the blue light of LED.
